AoD is a Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation (DDPO) – run by and for Disabled people.  

By becoming a member, you’ll join a local community of Disabled people and allies working together to improve lives, remove barriers, and create positive change across West London.

Two Types of Membership

Full Membership: Open to any Disabled person

Associate Membership: Open to any non-Disabled person

Benefits of Membership

When you become a member, you will:

  • Strengthen AoD – supporting us empower Disabled people and break down barriers.
  • Shape our work – have your say on the services we run now and in the future.
  • Take part in campaigns – influence what decision makers and service providers hear. 
  • Join Co-Production – contribute to discussion events, consultations, surveys, and service design affecting Disabled people.
  • Stay informed – receive regular e-newsletters about AoD’s work
  • Attend events – get invited to AoD activities and local events.
  • Connect with others – meet people who share AoD’s aims and values.
  • Vote at the AGM – and even stand for election as a Trustee You will be able to vote at the AGM and stand for election as a Trustee of AoD (NB The Board of Trustees must be made up of at least 75% Disabled people)
  • Be first to hear about opportunities – including jobs and volunteering roles.
