Our Fundraising Activities

Fundraising for Action on Disability helps remove barriers and create real opportunities for Disabled people to live with greater independence, choice and control. Every donation or fundraising activity supports our work across youth services, independent living, employment, campaigning, and community activities.

There are many ways you can get involved, whether you want to take on a challenge, organise an event, or support us through your workplace or community group. However you choose to fundraise, your support helps strengthen our work and our voice.

How You Can Fundraise

Organise Your Own Event

Host a coffee morning, quiz night, sponsored walk, or community fundraiser. Big or small, your event will help raise awareness and support our work.

Take on a Challenge

Run, roll, swim, cycle or choose your own challenge. Set a goal, fundraise with friends or colleagues, and help make a difference locally.

Workplace and Corporate Support

Your workplace can support AoD through staff fundraising, charity of the year partnerships, payroll giving, or sponsored activities. Get in touch to explore ideas that work for your team.

Schools and Community Groups

Schools, youth groups, faith groups and community organisations can help raise funds while learning about disability equality and the Social Model of Disability.

In Celebration or In Memory

Mark a birthday, wedding or special occasion by raising funds for AoD – or give in memory of someone special to support a cause close to their heart.

Why Your Fundraising Matters

The money you raise helps us:

  • remove disabling barriers in the community
  • support young Disabled people to take part and thrive
  • provide independent living advice and peer support
  • help Disabled adults find and stay in paid work
  • deliver co-production and campaigning work
  • keep our Centre for Independent Living open, accessible and welcoming

Your fundraising has a direct, practical impact on Disabled people’s lives.
